Infrared Coagulation (IRC) is a popular minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment for internal hemorrhoids, especially in the early stages (Grade I and II ). It uses controlled infrared light energy to coagulate small blood vessels supplying the hemorrhoids, causing them to shrink and dry up naturally.
At Cosmocare Piles & Hernia Center, Dubai, Dr. Murtaza Pithawala, a highly experienced General and Laparoscopic Surgeon, offers different kinds of treatment for piles which include safe, quick, and office-based procedure with minimal downtime.
The IRC procedure is done as an outpatient treatment and takes only 5–10 minutes. Using a special infrared probe, focused light energy is applied to the base of the hemorrhoid. The heat seals the small blood vessels, reducing blood flow and allowing the hemorrhoid to shrink.
Patients can go home immediately and resume work the same day.
While Infrared Coagulation is a good first-line treatment for early hemorrhoids, Laser Hemorrhoidoplasty or THD / HAL surgery are preferred for advanced or recurrent piles due to better precision, faster recovery, and long-term results.
At Cosmocare Piles & Hernia Center, Dr. Murtaza Pithawala offers a range of advanced hemorrhoid treatments in Dubai— customized for each patient to ensure fast, effective, and comfortable relief from piles.
